While the service was fairly slow, the servers were pleasant. It tastes stale and cheap for the price we pay, but to screw up something as simple as bread sticks, well that takes some effort. Kitchen Table Games, Saint Petersburg, Florida. I don't much like their food to begin with.
Whatever the reason, I will personally not eat at another OG in my life. Someone else thought perhaps the bread wasn't cooked all the way through.
I can't begin to imagine what can cause such an unpleasant situation, but we guessed that the bread dough was old or left out too long or not properly refrigerated. The group finally agreed the bread smelled like old Playdough. They tasted funny, and in the end, they were a huge disappointment. Except - Ugh! There was a consensus at the table that these were the worst bread sticks in the history of the Olive Garden. We waited again for drinks, but at least she brought the bread sticks with the beverages. We were seated immediately, but then it took a while for the waitress to drop by to get our order. I have had so many unpleasant experiences at OG, I won't usually eat there any more, but the people I was with really wanted salad and bread sticks, so I went along.
